As decided by the Conference of the Contracting Parties (CPC) in June 2023, a new attestation of unloading for tanker shipping will come into force on 1 July 2024. The unloading certificate documents the proper execution of the unloading procedure for cargo residues (Part B). In particular, it provides the various parties involved with proof of compliance with their obligations and the proper deposit of the waste. The revised attestation of unloading now also takes account of degassing and washing during the voyage. Read more
